Founded in 1973, Handi-Dogs is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We are dedicated to improving people's quality of life with a trained dog at their side.

Specialized Dog Training:
Using only positive training techniques, Handi-Dogs professional dog trainers help people train their own dogs. We specialize in service, in-home assistance, diabetic alert, therapy (volunteer with your dog) and well-mannered companion dog training. Training is completed in group classes at our indoor training center and in private sessions at people’s homes and other places, as needed, to achieve their specific goals.

Community Education: Handi-Dogs provides services to increase public awareness and ultimately support for the important role of dogs helping older adults and people of all ages with disabilities. We often are the first local point of contact for businesses, social service providers, media, healthcare professionals and others with questions about laws and certification requirements for service, emotional-support, and therapy dogs. We offer group presentations and information sessions.
