Encompass Health Rehabilitation Institute of Tucson (formerly known as HealthSouth) is conveniently located behind Tucson Medical Center in central Tucson. Encompass Health RIT is an 80-bed acute rehabilitation hospital that has been helping Southern Arizona patients regain their independence for more than 27 years.

We offer comprehensive inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services that include the use of a 22,000 gallon heated pool for aquatic therapy. Our gym contains state-of-the-art equipment and technology designed to help you restore strength and maximize your recovery.

Therapy also happens in our spacious courtyard and even in our lobby where therapists help patients practice car transfers using an actual vehicle. A portion of our massive therapy gym is set up as a bedroom so that patients can practice daily activities. Each area is designed to simulate reentry into the community and is used in addition to real community outings with Encompass Health therapists.
